Trinity at Prayer (T@P)
“Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.” Ephes. 6:18
At Trinity we believe that prayer is an integral part in the life of every disciple of Jesus Christ. The bible records many instances of prayer, declarations that prayer has or will be offered, examples and models of prayer and the assumption that those living in relationship with God will pray. Jesus in Matthew 6:5-13 repeats three times the phrase “When you pray”. When we pray
- We communicate with God through Jesus by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
- We give God the Glory for His Love and Grace
- We ask God to forgive our sins
- We ask God to reveal his will for our lives through the answers to our requests.
- We consider the needs of others asking God to move powerfully in their lives
- We ask God to reveal to us how we can make a difference in the lives of those who need to feel the Love of God
We encourage prayer individually & in families. To help with this we have a number of personal & family devotional resources in our church library. We also produce a monthly prayer update which highlights daily prayer topics. “T@P Updates” are available in hard copy or electronically. Click here to view/download the current T@P (Trinity @ Prayer) Update.
We also pray corporately in our services of worship, in our Discipleship Groups and at our fortnightly prayer meeting. Please see below time table for the date of the next prayer meeting. You can click the Discipleship Group logo on the home page for information about our Bible study ministry.
We have a dedicated prayer ministry team led by Norman Hamilton, one of our elders. The team are available at our services of worship to chat over any issues which have arisen during the service and to pray with you if you would like prayer ministry.
If you would like someone to pray with or for you please submit a prayer request by clicking here. Please leave the details of your prayer request and contact details if you would like a visit from a member of the prayer team. This request will be treated in complete confidence.
