Holiday Bible Clubs

  • 2nd, 16th, 23rd & 30th: GR – 9.00am – 1.00pm Solid Ground Café Open. Closed on 9th July.
  • 23rd: GR – 7.00pm – 8.30pm Trinity Crafters – Solid Ground.


  • 3rd, 10th, 24th & 31st: CL – 9.00am – 1.00pm Solid Rock Café Open. Closed on 17th July.
  • 3rd, 17th & 31st: CL & GR – 7.30pm T@P (CL – Minor Hall GR – Upper Room).
SUMMER AT SOLID GROUND Whether the sun is shining or not, Solid Ground Cafe will be open every Tuesday, from 9.00am to 1.00pm, during July and August, except Tuesday 9th July. What’s on the counter changes, but hopefully there will always be a warm welcome.
We will be having a Holiday Bible Club Special, on Tuesday 30th July, which is open to everyone, but we look forward to parents popping in to use the cuppa and traybake voucher, which the children will receive on the first night of the club. A big thank you to everyone who has called into the cafe.  Your donations have raised £1,500 for TearFund in the first 6 months of this year.

 T@P meets this month on Wed 3rd, 17th & 31st July in Cloughey (Minor Hall) and in Greyabbey (Upper Room) at 7.30pm.

 KINGDOM QUEST HBC AND EXPLORED Pre-registration is open for both Kingdom Quest (primary school age as of Sept. 2024) and Explored (Year 8- Year 10 as of Sept. 2024)! Join us Mon 29th July – Fri 2nd August from 6.15-8.00pm each night as we learn more about God. Set your alarms for pre-reg and stay up to date on the Church Facebook for more info.

 PRAYER Over the summer the Kirk Session prays that everyone will have time to rest, be restored and made ready for another church season in September. It is our tradition to begin each new season with prayer and this year we plan to do the same. Both our Cafes, Solid Ground & Solid Rock, will open for prayer on Saturday 14th September. We will have full details of the day in our August announcement sheet. We encourage you to mark Sat 14th September in your diary so that you will be free to join in our congregational prayer event, seeking God’s blessing for our ministry in Greyabbey, Cloughey and surrounding areas.

 2024 United Appeal, July Collection During July we have a further opportunity to support the work of the United Appeal. You are encouraged to prayerfully consider your contribution to this wider work of our Presbyterian Church, which supports many projects, programmes, churches, staff & individuals in the building of God’s Kingdom at home & overseas.  Please use the July United Appeal (pink) envelope in your FWO Pack. For those who contribute on-line please include ‘UA’ and your FWO number.   

 HELPERS NEEDED! HBC CL need more helpers for this Summer’s Holiday Bible Club and K4C need helpers for Summer. If you’d like to volunteer for these important ministries, please speak to Michelle (CL) or Rebekah (GR).

 Storehouse North Down (FOODBANK) Please continue to support Storehouse with your donations. Specific items currently required are: Tinned – Tomatoes, Meats (Ham/Corned beef), Snacks (Hot dogs/Ravioli) and Meals (chunky Chicken, Mince & Onion), Fray Bentos Pies, Cleaning products, Toilet rolls and Kitchen rolls, Men’s deodorant and shaving gels, and 45p bags for life. These can be left in the trolleys in the welcome areas in CL & GR. A full list of required items can be viewed at

 MOURNES CHALLENGE Hosford, one of Trinity’s local mission partners, is looking for hikers to join them on the Mournes Challenge Sat 7th Sept 2024, for a stunning 23.4 mile walk from Newcastle to Rostrevor on Carlingford Lough.  FIELDS OF LIFE CHARITY SHOP is now in Ballyhackamore, open 9.30am – 4.30pm Mon to Sat.  Donations of good quality items are always required to keep the shop going – clothing, shoes, handbags, jewellery, homeware etc. Unfortunately, we cannot take electrical items. We look forward to your visit.
