CLOUGHEY PW are hosting a Christmas craft evening in Trinity Presbyterian Church Cloughey on Mon 11th November at 7.30pm. Come along and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship. All ladies welcome – Supper served.
GR MISSION TEAM (potential) An information evening will take place this Mon 11th Nov at 7.45pm in Solid Ground for anyone interested in being a Team member. Those who travelled in 2023 will be present to answer any questions. Copies of the ‘Mission Trip to Uganda (Abura P.S.) Leaflet’ are available in our Welcome Areas. DISCIPLESHIP GROUPS will meet this week at their various times and locations. We will be discussing today’s Sermon, Daniel Chapter 6, Study 7 in our books, “On the menu at the Lions’ Club”.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP A Burger and Chips night is being held on Fri 15th November at 7.00pm in the Main Hall where Nicky Gilmore will give an illustrated presentation on the Formation of the Ulster Division and the Battle of the Somme. Nicky arranges and guides trips to the Somme each year and has many stories to tell. Sign-up sheets are available to help with catering.
70 YEARS OF WOMEN’S MINISTRY WinGS have planned to celebrate 70 years of Women’s Ministry in Trinity on Mon 18th November with a special event which will include Ellen Hillen, PW President, as our guest speaker. If anyone has old photographs, prayers or documents that would be of interest from the past, please let a WinGS committee member know as we will be trying to illustrate the work which Trinity women have been Entrusted with over the years.
MEN’S FELLOWSHIP Our next meeting will be held on Tues 19th November in the Youth Room, Trinity Greyabbey, with breakfast in Alchemy at 10.00am at a cost of £8. Following breakfast we return to the Youth Room for some fellowship.
T@P meets next on Wed 20th November in Cloughey (Minor Hall) and in Greyabbey (Upper Room) at 7.30pm.
FIRE WARDEN TRAINING A further session is planned: 7.00pm on Mon 25th Nov in the Upper Room (GR). All organisations MUST have 2 members signed up. If you haven’t already, please email announcements@trinitygreyabbey.org to book a space.
EVENING OF HYMNS On Sun 17th November at 6.30pm, Portavogie Presbyterian Church will be hosting an evening of hymns by Robert Lowry, an Ulster Scot. Robert Lowry’s father came from Killinchy and emigrated to America.
Lowry was a Baptist Pastor who was not only a great preacher but someone who wrote over 500 hymns and music for hymns. We will tell his story and the story behind some of his hymns such as, ‘Shall we gather at the river’, ‘Here is Love vast as the ocean’, ‘What can wash away my sin’, ‘Follow follow we will follow Jesus’ and others.
Everyone will be welcome to join us as we sing praise to God using the words of these great Lowry hymns. Supper will be served at the close of the service.

CHALLENGE MINISTRIES SWAZILAND (CMS) Following on from the blessings of the mission trip to Eswatini which took place in march this year, another trip is being prayerfully being considered in Autumn 2025. 2025 FLOWER LISTS for Greyabbey (GR) & Cloughey (CL) On most Sundays, members of the congregation contribute to our worship by donating the flowers that are displayed in Church. We now need to update both the GR and CL Flower Lists for 2025.
Please indicate on the sheet in the Vestibule, or email Fiona at announcements@trinitygreyabbey.org, by Fri 29th November if you:
– Would like to be added or removed from these lists; or wish to transfer from one Flower List to the other.
STOREHOUSE (Foodbank) Donations for Storehouse can now be left in our new Storehouse bins in the welcome areas in both Greyabbey and Cloughey.
Storehouse North Down (FOODBANK) Please continue to support Storehouse with your donations. Specific items currently required are: Tinned – Meats (Ham/Corned beef), Snacks (Hot dogs/Ravioli) and Meals (chunky Chicken, Mince & Onion), Fray Bentos Pies, Biscuits, Long Life Milk, Tomato Ketchup / Brown Sauce, Toothpaste, and 45p bags for life. These can be left in the trolleys in the welcome areas in CL & GR. Monetary donations are also acceptable and can be given via collection plate (in an envelope marked Storehouse or Foodbank) OR on line via the website at the link below.
